The Part-Time Enforcement Services Clerk is responsible for:
General clerical, administrative, research, front line customer service, cash handling and duties associated with Enforcement Services Division of Legal Enforcement Services Department;
Review and issuance of Temporary Sign Permits and Pool Enclosure Permits;
Administration of Accessory Apartment Registrations;
Respond to phone and email inquiries;
Balancing of cash;
Processing payments online and in person;
Scheduling appointments and preparing information for the First Attendance Facilitator;
Preparing and providing work orders and creation of complaint files.
Our Enforcement Services team is looking for a self-motivated, solutions-oriented team player who takes initiative and thrives in a team environment. You use your organizational skills and abilities to plan, initiate, organize and prioritize work, and to deal effectively with multiple projects/demands, conflicting priorities, pressures and deadlines.
You clearly convey your thoughts, both in writing and verbally. You listen attentively and ask questions for clarification and understanding. You build effective relationships with all people; up, down and sideways, inside and outside of the Corporation. Using sound judgment, you demonstrate tact, diplomacy and sound discretion when working with a broad range of co-workers and customers.

You know you best, including the tasks you do better when working virtually versus on-site. You believe that the cornerstone of successful working relationships is trust and understand how this positively impacts productivity and performance. As the successful applicant, you must possess:
a post-secondary diploma in Business Administration, Office Administration, Police Foundations, Legal Administration or equivalent;
a minimum of 2-3 years related experience;
possess well developed keyboarding skills;
a demonstrated knowledge of computer programs, including an intermediate level of proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Amanda and City Works;
be able to communicate both orally and in written form in order to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and the general public;
possess well-developed organizational and prioritization skills;
In addition, you have the ability to manage multiple phone lines and respond quickly in a busy and dynamic environment while consistently meeting deadlines.
Salary: $20.48 - $22.69 per hour (Band D, under review)*

A hybrid work environment and flexible work arrangements where employees are empowered to do their best work in the way that works for them. This is designated as a Frontline Hybrid role. Frontline Hybrid recognizes that up to 40% of job functions associated with the role can be done virtually, from a remote office.
